Positive Behaviour in Early Years professional development course looks at the essentials of positive behaviour management specifically within the Early Years context.  It examines the many things practitioners can do, both individually and as a group, to set the scene for allowing, encouraging and maintaining good behaviour.  Typical situations are presented by dramatised scenarios which allow participants to explore different ways of resolving them.

The course produced in conjunction with North Lanarkshire for Scottish Early Years settings follows the Vision, Values and Aims of the Child at the Centre 2.  In order to maximise the learning and flexibility of delivery the training course is divided into the following modules:

.

Course Modules:

Module 1 –Behaviour in the Modern Context
Module 2 –Acceptability & Control
Module 3 –Behaviour & Child Development
Module 4 –We get the Children we Deserve
Module 5 - Consistent & Fair
